Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)

Expanded polystyrene foam, or EPS, is a closed-cell foam that is relatively rigid and effective as a spacer in packaging.

Uses

EPS is a cost-effective foam material to secure products so they don't move and bounce around during shipment. In many cases, this is sufficient to protect the goods, even if the cushioning benefit of EPS is nominal. It also is an effective insulating material as a liner for shipments of food with dry ice packs.

Benefits

Our typical applications are insulation-driven, such as products that ship with cold packs or dry ice, but EPS can also be used in lower-cost packaging configurations, especially if cushioning benefits are not particularly required.
